In some areas sea view property is not possible, often due to the contour of local land, or mountainous resorts, however, in some areas sea view real estate in Turkey is standard, especially in the exclusive resort of Kalkan, along the shores of the Bosphorus in Istanbul, or on the stunning island of Sovalye in Fethiye, and the more exclusive the area, the higher the price of Turkish sea view property will be.
In all cases, sea view accommodation in Turkey will command higher prices just for the views alone, whether it is an older property or a more up-to-date state of the art home in Turkey.
Istanbul
Sea view accommodation for sale in Istanbul will most definitely see the highest prices along the shores of the Bosphorus, where you find some of the oldest Ottoman-era mansions right on the waterfront with prices well exceeding most people’s budgets, however, sea view property can be found slightly inland and a little less elaborate at reachable budgets. Even the inner suburbs can offer see view property, often found on the higher floors of modern tower blocks where residents have the use of some excellent on-site facilities.
Kalkan
Kalkan is one of those areas that sea view homes are almost standard, due Kalkan being built around a bay, rather like seats in an amphitheatre with the glorious turquoise waters of the Mediterranean sea as the star of the show, and those with the ring-side seats right by the sea will be the ones with the highest price tags, often found with private beaches.
Bodrum
The Bodrum peninsula offers some fabulous homes with sea views, though not standard as in Kalkan, though like Kalkan the ones nearer the sea with the more spectacular views will boast those higher prices especially in the elite resorts of Yalikavak and Turkbuku, or overlooking the marina in Bodrum Town.
Fethiye
Fethiye’s most spectacular sea views are found on the island of Sovalye or in the up-market Karagozler area where homes are elevated and overlook Ece marina, though if you are lucky and have the budget you may be able to find a home in Ovacik with amazing views out across the sea of Oludeniz.
Some of the residential areas on the edge of Fethiye’s town centre can also offer some amazing sea views from their elevated positions, and at more affordable prices.
