Aamir Khan, the world-renowned actor of Indian cinema, is coming to Turkey to complete his latest film “Laal Singh Chaddha” an adaptation of the 1994 US film Forrest Gump, which was interrupted in India due to the outbreak of Covid-19.
Khan had previously come to Turkey as a guest of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism as part of the promotional work for his film “Superstar”, which premiered in Turkey in October 2017 and was met with intense interest in Ankara and Istanbul.
Aamir Khan, who had the opportunity to see the potential of Turkey which is a natural plateau with its technical infrastructure, advanced facilities and workforce capacity during his visit to this country, decided to move the work of his new film to Turkey.
Aamir Khan and his production team will pay a visit to this country in August with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
Turkey will host the major names of Indian cinema during the filming which is scheduled to begin in October and will last for about 40 days. Aamir Khan who is known for his films “Dangal”, “3 Fools”, “Stars on Earth” and “PK” in our country and has a wide fan base will go before the camera in Turkey this time with the famous actress Kareena Kapoor Khan with whom he shared the screen in the film “3 Fools”.
Director of the film “Laal Singh Chaddha” produced by and starring Aamir Khan, will feature director Advait Chandan, known for Khan's film “Superstar”, which premiered in our country in 2017.
