This year's Investment Advisory Council meeting will be held at the Dolmabahçe Working Office on September 28. According to information obtained by CNBC-e, invitations have been sent to top executives, including Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, and other CEOs and board chairs of major global companies.
Invitation letters, signed by Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, were sent to numerous companies and high-level representatives from international organizations like the World Bank. The invitees have been asked to confirm their participation by August 23.
During the meeting, which will take place after the update of the Medium-Term Program, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will highlight the progress made in the Turkish economy and call for increased investment in Turkey.
Focus on Chinese and Gulf Companies
The meeting, organized after an eight-year hiatus, is expected to be heavily influenced by Chinese and Gulf companies, which are anticipated to invest in Turkey shortly. The International Investors Association (YASED) also emphasizes the importance of high participation in the meeting, encouraging member companies to attend and discuss changes in Turkey's investment climate. Global executives of YASED member companies have also been invited to participate.
