The 61st Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival took place in Antalya on October 5-12, with participation of prominent directors and artists.
The festival garnered significant attention as it celebrated the power of cinema in both national and international categories. Notably, the achievements of female directors and actresses stood out during the event.
The Festival concluded with the awards ceremony. In the National Feature Film Competition, the Best Film Award went to "Mukadderat," directed by Nadim Güç. The closing ceremony, hosted by the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality, took place at the Cam Piramit Exhibition and Congress Center. The night, hosted by Şebnem Dönmez, began with a concert by musician and actor Taner Ölmez.
Statements by Antalya Metropolitan Mayor Muhittin Böcek
Mayor Muhittin Böcek emphasized the transformative power of cinema on society. He also announced an important development: all films screened at the festival would have their copyright fees paid. He stated that this decision would be a significant contribution to the film industry. Böcek added that the festival was one of Antalya’s biggest brand values and that the 62nd Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival would take place from November 7-16, 2025.

During the ceremony, Binnur Kaya dedicated her award to women who devote their lives to their loved ones. Ece Dizdar expressed her excitement about winning the Golden Orange Jury Special Award for her film "Mükemmel," which she wrote and directed.
