The recent recognition of Fethiye, a district of Muğla, Turkey, by the prestigious British newspaper The Times has stirred excitement. The newspaper ranked Fethiye third among the best beach holiday destinations in the world for October. This recognition is expected to significantly increase the number of British tourists visiting the region, positively impacting hotel bookings.

The President of the Fethiye Hoteliers Association expressed delight at the news. He emphasized that Fethiye’s natural beauty, historical sites, and famous beaches placed it among Europe’s top holiday destinations and suggested it deserved even higher rankings. Uysal highlighted that 60% of the tourists in Fethiye were from the UK and expected this news to boost early booking requests for the 2025 season.

The manager of Ölüdeniz Kumburnu Beach also expressed pride in Fethiye’s inclusion in this prestigious list, underscoring the importance of such promotions for Muğla's tourism sector.

Fethiye's globally renowned beaches, including Ölüdeniz Kumburnu and Belcekız, continue to shine in international promotions as some of Turkey's top tourism spots.

This news is expected to increase interest in the region further, benefitting both hotel occupancy rates and the overall tourism industry. Fethiye is poised for a tourism boom in the 2025 season, particularly from British visitors.
