According to the Central Bank data, the Housing Price Index (CFE) increased by 189.2 percent year-on-year in September. The average price of a 100 square meter house in the country reached 1 million 586 thousand TL as of September. On the other hand, this price exceeded 2.5 million TL in Istanbul.
The Central Bank (CBRT) has announced the Housing Price Index (CFE) data for the period of September 2022.
Accordingly, CFE, which increased by 184.6 percent compared to the same month of the previous year and broke a record in August, also increased by 189.2 percent in September, year-on-year.
On the other hand, the highest annual increase was experienced in Antalya, Isparta and Burdur, with 235.8 percent, in September 2022. Istanbul followed these provinces with 212.1 percent and Adana and Mersin with 202.5 percent.
PRICE OF A 100 SQUARE METER APARTMENT GOES UP TO 1.6 MILLION TL
According to the data of the CBRT, the price per square meter of a house in Turkey had risen to 15 thousand 76 TL in August. In September, this price went up to 15 thousand 863 TL. Thus, the price of a 100 square meter apartment in the country has reached 1 million 586 thousand TL.
SAME PRICES EXCEED 2.5 MILLION TL IN ISTANBUL
Square meter prices in Ankara reached 11 thousand 323 TL as of September, 18 thousand 761 TL in Izmir and 25 thousand 714 TL in Istanbul. Thus, the cost of an average-sized apartment in Istanbul exceeded 2.5 million TL as of September.
