Tristan Kennedy, a British columnist who visited Kayseri and spent his holiday at Erciyes, highlighted the ski resort as an affordable skiing destination in an article published in The Independent, a prominent British newspaper.
In his article, Kennedy praised the accommodation options, dining prices, the limited crowds and low density, and the presence of fresh, soft snow during the winter months at Erciyes. He also expressed satisfaction with the incredibly reasonable cable car fees. Kennedy described Erciyes as combining the incredible natural terrain of a dormant volcano with a pointed, semi-open crater below its summit at an elevation of 3,917 meters, reminiscent of the Austrian Alps and featuring the latest infrastructure.
