The popular Turkish TV series called Kara Sevda (Endless/Blind Love) and broadcast on Star TV in Turkey, won Best Telenovela at the 45th International Emmy Awards on November 21st. The series produced by AY YAPIM Company and shown on TV in many countries is the first Turkish production to win this award.
“Kara Sevda”, which has been followed by millions of viewers for two seasons in Turkey and more than 60 countries around the world, was selected as Best Production in Telenovela category.
The series which stars Burak Özçivit, Neslihan Atagül and Kaan Urgancıoğlu gained significant popularity all over the world and was also dubbed into many languages, including Italian, Persian, Spanish, and Arabic.
The script was written by Burcu Görgün Toptaş and it was directed by Hilal Saral. The award for the series was received by CEO Kerem Çatay at the ceremony in New York.
Telenovela is a television soap opera, usually having a limited number of episodes.
