Happy Ramadan
Here at Turkey Homes, we would like to wish our friends, clients and Muslims all around the world a blessed Ramadan. Ramadan started on March 23rd and will last until Friday, April 21st. During Ramadan, Muslims in Turkey and worldwide fast from dawn until sunset, abstaining from food, drink, and other physical needs during daylight hours. This time for spiritual reflection, increased devotion to God, and acts of charity and kindness towards others is the most important in the Islamic calendar.
Many Muslims also attend special prayers and gatherings during Ramadan and break their fast each evening with a meal called iftar. This Ramadan will be more significant in what has already been a heart-breaking year in Turkey. We hope the 30 days will help Turkey heal and look forward to the future. If you have friends who celebrate Ramadan, it can be a thoughtful gesture to wish them a blessed Ramadan. Here are some ways you can do so:
- "Ramadan Mubarak!" This is a traditional greeting that means "Blessed Ramadan!"
- "May this Ramadan be filled with blessings for you and your family."
- "Wishing you a peaceful Ramadan."
- "May Allah's blessings be with you and your loved ones during this holy month."
- "Ramadan, Kareem!" This is another traditional greeting that means "Generous Ramadan!"
